| Directions for preparation: | The best way to add a concentrated fruit extract to your product is to produce a liquid extract first and then add that to your 'wet' formula. Every gram of this powdered extract contains as much as ten times the phytoactives as fresh fruit. Prepare your own stock solution of extract by mixing 20g powder into 80g water, glycerin or water/alcohol mix (80:20 typically) and leaving to steep before filtering out the insoluble portion. If using water in your extracting medium you will need to preserve the extract if you intend to store it for use another time. Otherwise the fresh extract can be used in your formula as part of your actives or your water phase. |
