Overview
Delivering bioactive compounds into skin tissue has long been a challenge.Daji Belle here demonstrates a removable dissolvable microneedle (DDM) technology platform, a special dissolvable microneedle that allows the needle to be detached from the base within 2 minutes of administration, allowing efficient embedding of model compounds into the epidermis and dermis. Compound diffusion from the needle embedding site to nearby skin tissues was demonstrated at various post-dosing periods. Daji Belle is a technical service for the delivery of specific cosmetic active ingredients using microneedle delivery technology.
Our DDM Material
Since Detachable Dissolvable Microneedle (DDM) is deposited in the dermis, the safety of the needle material is of utmost importance. In our technology platform, the water-soluble HA and PVA polymers used as structural materials for DDM are non-cross-linked and therefore soluble in tissue. Both polymers are biocompatible and biodegradable and have been approved by the FDA for use in humans in most countries.

In Vivo Skin Irritation Testing
All animal experiments were approved by the Chulalongkorn University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (CU-IACUC) (protocol no. 1973015). All methods were performed in accordance with guidelines and CU-IACUC regulations. Small sample sizes were chosen to minimize the number of animals used. All DDM Delivery Services were evaluated by in vivo skin irritation assays.
