Baobab oil is a natural ingredient extracted from the seeds of the baobab tree, rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and omega fatty acids. It deeply hydrates and nourishes the skin, improving its texture and tone, and can also be used to moisturise and soften the hair. Baobab oil is more suitable for dry skin and dry, frizzy or damaged hair and can be found in a variety of beauty products. Incorporating baobab oil into your daily routine is a natural and effective way to care for your skin and hair. |
Properties/Benefits: |
The oil is rich in vitamins A (carotenoids), D, E and essential fatty acids. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin cell growth, vitamin D helps to maintain skin elasticity, and vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. Baobab oil contains high levels of linoleic acid (an omega-6), and Oleic acid (an omega-9), which help to strengthen and protect the skin's natural barrier, improving its overall texture and tone. The main benefits of baobab oil include its ability to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin, improve its texture and tone, protect it from environmental stressors, and reduce the signs of aging. It can also be used to moisturise and soften the hair, making it a versatile and luxurious ingredient in skincare and haircare products. |
Texture: |
Baobab oil is absorbed quickly through the skin and it improves its elasticity by encouraging the regeneration of skin cells without clogging the pores. |

Supplier information: |
Our supplier is proud to support tree planting activities every year, as part of their commitment to sustainability since their inception in 2016. They also take pride in training the farmers they work with in sustainable harvesting practices for the tree species we use and supporting them with forest management. They are particularly proud to work with women, as 95% of the people they collaborate with are women. In rural areas of Zimbabwe, where our supplier operates, women make up a significant portion of the population and are often involved in fruit and nut picking. While they may showcase women in their pictures, it is not a deliberate exclusion of men. In fact, they also see male involvement in activities such as transportation of fruits and nuts and operating machinery. |
